Graduated 3rd in his class from Istanbul (Çapa) Faculty of Medicine, receiving the 1st place Dean’s Achievement Award.
Completed his residency in Orthopedics and Traumatology at the renowned Istanbul (Çapa) Faculty of Medicine.
He advanced his specialization in shoulder and elbow surgery as a visiting research fellow at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine (USA), Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology. His research during this fellowship, “Posteromedial rotatory incongruity of the elbow: a computational kinematics study,” was nominated for the prestigious Charles Neer Award by the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES), an honor considered the “Nobel Prize” of shoulder and elbow surgery. In 2023, his scientific contributions and expertise earned him the European Society for Surgery of the Shoulder and the Elbow (SECEC) Education Scholarship, enabling him to complete advanced training at 9 reference centers under leading authorities across 8 European countries.
He has been honored three times with “Best Oral Presentation” awards at the 27th and 30th National Turkish Orthopedics and Traumatology Congress and the 10th Shoulder and Elbow Surgery Congress.
He completed his compulsory state service as a specialist physician at Istanbul Avcılar Murat Kölük State Hospital. He is an active member of SECEC (European Society for Surgery of the Shoulder and the Elbow), the Turkish Society of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery (OMED), ESSKA (European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy), and TUSYAD (Turkish Society of Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy and Knee Surgery). He has authored 24 book chapters, 32 scientific articles, and 86 academic presentations.
