Graduated 3rd in his class from Istanbul (Çapa) Faculty of Medicine, receiving the 1st place Dean’s Achievement Award.

Completed his residency in Orthopedics and Traumatology at the renowned Istanbul (Çapa) Faculty of Medicine.

He advanced his specialization in shoulder and elbow surgery as a visiting research fellow at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine (USA), Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology. His research during this fellowship, “Posteromedial rotatory incongruity of the elbow: a computational kinematics study,” was nominated for the prestigious Charles Neer Award by the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES), an honor considered the “Nobel Prize” of shoulder and elbow surgery. In 2023, his scientific contributions and expertise earned him the European Society for Surgery of the Shoulder and the Elbow (SECEC) Education Scholarship, enabling him to complete advanced training at 9 reference centers under leading authorities across 8 European countries.

He has been honored three times with “Best Oral Presentation” awards at the 27th and 30th National Turkish Orthopedics and Traumatology Congress and the 10th Shoulder and Elbow Surgery Congress.

He completed his compulsory state service as a specialist physician at Istanbul Avcılar Murat Kölük State Hospital. He is an active member of SECEC (European Society for Surgery of the Shoulder and the Elbow), the Turkish Society of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery (OMED), ESSKA (European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy), and TUSYAD (Turkish Society of Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy and Knee Surgery). He has authored 24 book chapters, 32 scientific articles, and 86 academic presentations.

Our 10-year-old son fell on the evening of Sept 21st and severely tore the area just below his left kneecap (requiring over 15 internal and external stitches), so we went to the Acıbadem Maslak Emergency Room. We were so incredibly lucky that the doctor on duty that night was Dr. Gökhan. Lucky because on the day his treatment ended, our son said, "I wish we hadn't met this way," and was genuinely sad to leave his "Gökhan abi" (big brother). Dr. Gökhan is a young doctor who truly makes a difference with his attentiveness, outstanding communication skills, approach, KNOWLEDGE, and the sense of trust he instilled in our son and in us as parents. He patiently and caringly answered every single question we had during and after that difficult intervention. We are so happy we found him... He is like family to us now... We thank him once again. My father had persistent hip pain, and one leg was shorter than the other. He had hip replacement surgery in February. He is doing great now, walks comfortably, has no pain, recovered quickly, and his leg lengths are equalized. His limp is almost gone. It's hard to describe Dr. Gökhan (Hocam) in words. First, God coincidentally brought him into our lives at Avcılar Murat Kölük State Hospital when we were searching for a doctor for my mother's big toe bone issue. My mother regained her health thanks to his diagnosis and treatment. Later, my 6-year-old son fell from his bike and broke both bones in his arm. Dr. Gökhan was the first person we thought of. We went to him, and he immediately took care of our son, operating and restoring his arm to health. He became like family. His warmth and closeness during check-ups gave us such peace and confidence. Even my son was happy to go see him. He called him "Gökhan amca" (Uncle Gökhan). My son had the typical childhood fear of doctors, but Dr. Gökhan's kindness was so great that my son's fear completely vanished around him. We can never repay Dr. Gökhan. May God grant him a long life, continued success, and a clear path forward.

I was referred to Dr. Gökhan at the state hospital for my 16-year-old son's recurrent shoulder dislocations. Dr. Gökhan greeted us with such a kind, smiling face and genuine interest. After the exam, he explained that surgery was the only solution. He successfully performed my son's surgery using a closed (arthroscopic) method. My son has regained his full health, and there isn't even a scar or mark on his shoulder. His behavior towards all patients and us is truly commendable. We thank him for his efforts and wish him a life full of success.

I practice martial arts as a amateur. About a year ago, I injured my shoulder during weight training. Despite seeing many doctors, I couldn't get a clear diagnosis. After some research, I made an appointment with Dr. Gökhan. He was very welcoming and attentive. I explained my history, he reviewed my MRI, and performed shoulder tests (Speed's and O'Brien's). He suspected a SLAP and Bankart tear and said I needed surgery. He explained the post-op rehabilitation process, and we scheduled the date. The surgery was on Feb 22nd. Just as he suspected, I had a Bankart and SLAP (Type 5) tear from the strain. My arm was put in a sling right after surgery for 6 weeks, and he gave me a special physical therapy protocol. We started passive exercises while still in the sling. It has now been 2.5 months, and my therapy is ongoing. I thank him for his interest and care and wish him success in his career.

Due to a problem with my knee, I made an appointment with Dr. Gökhan Karademir at Murat Kölük State Hospital. In the very first exam, he diagnosed me, stating my meniscus was torn. He ordered an MRI to confirm, which showed a complete meniscus tear and a meniscus tear. After that, thanks to the doctor's personal attention and care, we scheduled the surgery at the state hospital very quickly. He performed both surgeries at once. I stayed in the hospital for two days after the operation. After discharge, I used crutches for two weeks. Following my two-week check-up, I began physical therapy. After just two weeks of physical therapy, I was able to return to work without any issues, all within about a month. Of course, during this whole process, Dr. Gökhan's kindness, attentiveness, and clear explanations were commendable. May God bless him. I wish all doctors in our state hospitals could be this careful, compassionate, and full of high human values. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Gökhan to anyone who is afraid of this surgery or who has had it without finding relief.

I went to Dr. Gökhan at Murat Kölük State Hospital for my knee pain. I learned I had a meniscus tear that needed to be surgically removed. His interest and cheerful behavior never wavered, before or after the surgery. He is a model doctor: highly successful, disciplined, polite, kind, and dignified. I broke my wrist in a traffic accident. I saw different doctors for 10 days. Because of their indifferent approach, they failed to notice it was healing incorrectly (malunion). Dr. Gökhan (Hocam) at Murat Kölük Hospital identified the malunion and immediately scheduled me for surgery. He was extremely attentive and supportive during all pre- and post-op check-ups. I thank him for everything.

A month ago, my ankle swelled up (edema) after a fall, but I only learned this at the third hospital I visited. After two weeks, they put it in a cast and said it would stay on for two more weeks. At that point, I started researching doctors and found Dr. Gökhan's profile and the positive comments from his patients. Even though I reached out to him through social media, he responded, showed interest, and directed me to his hospital for an exam. I cannot thank him enough for his interest, care, kindness, and help. I am so grateful. Skill deserves praise. Dr. Gökhan's way of addressing his patients, his respect, politeness, tone of voice, his gentleness, the way he informs about the illness and treatment, his conduct with the intern doctors, consulting his mentors (hocas) about our case when needed, and referring to other departments... all of this not only builds patient trust but also elevates the Istanbul School of Medicine, of which he is a part. I am Ferideh Abdulkasım, 49 years old, and a very complex patient. I have seen Neurology, PM&R, Psychiatry, and Internal Medicine. When I heard our family friend praise the doctor, I made an appointment. My joint pains, loss of strength in my arms, my shoulder, my knee... thanks to my doctor's patience, knowledge, correct planning, approach, and utmost respect for patient privacy, everything is falling into place. Parallel to my shoulder injections, I was referred to rheumatology. My rheumatoid arthritis treatment is going well. Thank God, I am 90% better.

My mother, Pembe Dazkır, has been a patient at the Istanbul University Çapa Orthopedics Clinic since December 2014. She had foot pain, and after exams, our doctor Mr. Gökhan Karademir diagnosed her with an enchondroma and performed the treatment. I want to express my deep satisfaction with how Dr. Gökhan Karademir practices his profession. What he showed us at the clinic: -Respect -Compassion (polite treatment) -Accurate diagnosis and treatment -Informing the patient in a language she could understand -Sharing all post-operative treatment information -Meticulous care during dressing changes -Thorough clinic check-ups and follow-ups... I had meniscus surgery at another hospital in 2011. Two years passed, and I hadn't healed; in fact, my pain was getting worse. Then I came to Çapa Hospital. My orthopedic doctor here, Mr. Gökhan Karademir, took excellent care of me. I felt 80% better in just two months. My treatment is still ongoing, and I am getting better every day.
